The Île-de-France region is divided into six zones. It starts with Paris (Zone 1) and ends in the suburbs (Zones 2-6). The cost of tickets and passes is determined by the number of zones traveled.
- To visit the main tourist attractions in central Paris, purchase either a Mobilis Pass (Zones 1-2), a Navigo Découverte Pass (Zones 1-2) or a Paris Visite Pass (Zones 1-3).
- If you need to visit the suburbs, Zones 3-6 (for example: Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG), Orly Airport, Disneyland © Paris or Versailles), purchase an individual ticket for the RER (regional express trains) or SNCF (commuter trains) to reach these areas.
